1. Data We Collect

• Google account info: Name, email address, and profile photo (via Google Sign-In).
• District data: District name, state, size, demographics, grade span, and technology ecosystem details you provide during onboarding.
• Workshop answers: Your responses to guided policy workshop questions.
• Document content: AI-generated policy documents, revisions, and comments created within the platform.
• Usage metrics: Document generation counts, chat message counts, and revision counts for plan enforcement.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service: Your district data and workshop answers are sent to AI models to generate customized policy documents.
• To improve AI quality: We may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns to improve prompt engineering and document quality. We do not train AI models on your district-specific content.
• Billing: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

3. Data Storage

All application data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore (US data centers). Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. Payment data is processed and stored by Stripe, Inc. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

4. No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or district data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with service providers (Google Cloud, Stripe, Anthropic/OpenAI) as necessary to operate the platform.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing info@lamancha.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. You may export your generated documents at any time using the PDF and DOCX export features.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: Firebase Authentication session cookies to keep you signed in, and a lightweight auth-presence cookie for route protection. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for school district administrators and educators, not for students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
